Pamela Henry is owner of Soul Custody Press in Redlands, California, creating “memoirs with a message” for family members as a legacy. Instead of publishing others’ work, she shows people how create a legacy in writing for their own families.
Her message:
“Since 1994, I’ve been researching and writing about divorce aftermath and shared custody parenting by keeping journals and notes on the topic which have evolved into an unpublished series of Soul Custody books designed to promote the highest attainable harmony and wholeness in families previously heart-broken and hope-shattered. These books intend to pave a pioneering path through the modern mode of family life, adopting and implementing new parenting skills and family outlooks, including terminology, which can provide the best possible child development and well being. My first book was published in 2014 – The Resting Place, A Graveside Diary by Pamela Little, a tale of self-diagnosed Post-Divorce Destruction Disorder. The second book, Half Souls by Mary Ellen Corbett, is my stepmother’s legacy of words in one memoir. In 2025, Soul Custody: Sparing Children from Divorce turned regrets turned into lessons for married couples. None of my work is designed to give legal, therapeutic or psychological advice. It offers no substitute for agencies and entities designed and established to meet those other needs. I can guide you to additional resources to help you and your family.“
